Having left the blistering cold weather of Great Falls, MT on the 25th of December 2016, we officially moved into our new residence on the 15th of January. Spending almost a month living in hotels and dealing with closing issues. Too say the least, it has been a frustrating and blessed time, all combined into one. The weather here in Weiser, ID, has been a rarity according to the locals. The last time snow, ice, and freezing rain inundated this part of the country was almost 40 years ago. This year, almost every day has been non-stop snow, ice, or freezing rain combined with extremely low visibility fog. Many of the homes and businesses here and in the surrounding areas have experienced roof crashes, septic backups, water line failures, fires, etc. It has not been pretty. Check out this link about the bowling alley; and this link about some of the other happenings: Thus far, our home and acreage has been spared and we can only thank the Lord for that! Here are a couple of pics of what our home looks like now, under an accumulation of 5+ feet of snow.... compared to what it normally would look like...(this is what we were expecting). Well, Jesus had other plans to welcome us and ensure that we truly appreciate what has been given. "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." ~ Isaiah 55:10-11
God is good, and all the time, God is Good!!
Why do my children learn differently? Why does one need learning aids and the other never seem to be paying attention, yet can tell me everything I said??? This infographic from OnlineCollege.org sheds some light on the subject:
![]() "Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten My word to perform it." ~ Jeremiah 1:11-12 (KJV) The seeds of Prunus dulcis var. dulcis (almond tree) are predominantly sweet. The Hebrew word ‘luz’, translated “hazel” in the King James Bible (Genesis 30:37), is translated as “almond” in the Revised Version, New King James Version, New International Version and the New Revised Standard Version. Thus, this newly created cowl pattern is entitled, “Almond Promise”, in recognition that God will never fail to keep His word and hasten to perform it. Click here for the pattern.
![]() "Vacation Bible School is six months away...you have time. EEEkkk, VBS is two weeks away!!! Where had the time gone? Now, bean bags are needed and there's no time to wait nor the funds for mail delivery." Hahaha, this is exactly what happened to me, this past summer. Yet with a little ingenuity, scrap yarn and quick thinking, and help from bean donating friends, I was able to get a number of bean bags completed. Patterns?????
